I've been making animations and YouTube videos since 2019. A lot of my initial inspiration came from those storytime animation youtubers like theodd1sout, JaidenAnimations, and many more. I played with some stick fight animation apps before I would download FlipaClip for the first time, allowing me to finally start creating frame-by-frame animations. You can see a few from 2020-21 I still have on my channel.
Later that year is when I got my first laptop, wanting to learn and use Blender. I would start exclusively using it for animation and ditching FlipaClip altogether. I found using keyframes to be much more convenient than having to tediously create each and every frame of an animation from scratch.
Over the years, I would follow any tutorial I could to find out how to use Blender's most
basic features and functions practice animation/modelling more and more, even participating
in animation collabs from Squared Media.
By then, I figured I was experienced enough to try again at remodeling the way I draw myself in 2D, complete with cel shading and outlines. You can see me using this style in a few videos I uploaded in 2024.
In an effort to refine my editing style, I started using this blobby, claymation style for everything I would make. I was into the Jackbox games at that time, and especially loved the art style that Quiplash 3 went for. It's vibrant, charming, and like nothing I've seen in any other game.
That's where I am today when it comes to animation. I'm rather proud of the progress I've made since 2019. I would love to potentially get my foot in the door of the animation industry sometime (if game development ends up going south)
