engraved pancake goes spin

  I've been into collecting vinyl records since late 2024. I was oddly fascinated by how record players function. Table thing goes spin with pancake, needle goes on grooves of pancake, something happens involving said needle, and sound is outputted through speakers. The whole mechanism is so incredibly inventive, it makes you wonder how someone could've thought up of something like that to begin with.

  I also think it's nice to just own a physical copy of an album to display in your room to show off to others, especially considering how huge a 12-inch record is compared to a CD. I did also start collecting CDs on top of vinyl, mostly because they're easier to manage and are a lot cheaper.

  I got a record player for Christmas after preordering the Nowhere record from Friday Pilots Club in late November. It's not the best record player I could've gotten, but I don't notice that much of a difference in sound quality, plus I think it fits rather well in my room:
